A Project Manager's Instruction to Submit Quotations (PMIQ) is a communication that is issued by the Project Manager to instruct the Contactor to submit a quotation. This is issued after any of the following events: The Project Manager's Notification of Compensation Event (PMNCE) is issued, when a Project Manager's Reply to a Quotation (PMRN) is accepted, and when there is a need to instruct submission of a revised quotation. A Contractor's Quotation Submission (CQT) is generated automatically as a result of a PMIQ.

A draft PMIQ may be sent for an internal review.

Additional supporting objects such as communications, documents, and files may be associated with a PMIQ.

A PMIQ follows a three stage workflow: Initiate > Review > Issue.
